Meet Michael Bannon Jr.
Michael Bannon Jr. is a lifelong community advocate, working father, and public servant running for State Representative to restore accountability, transparency, and common-sense leadership in Harrisburg.
Michael lives in Delaware County with his two sons. As a dedicated father and hardworking Pennsylvanian, he understands firsthand the challenges families face every day—from rising costs and public safety concerns to a government that too often feels disconnected from the people it serves.
With more than 25 years of volunteer service as a life member of the Upper Chichester Fire Company, Michael has spent much of his life answering the call to help others. That commitment to service carried into his work in local government, where he has successfully introduced and passed legislation focused on supporting first responders, strengthening government transparency, and protecting taxpayers.
Professionally, Michael is a Lead Commercial HVAC Technician who knows the value of hard work, skilled trades, and keeping critical infrastructure running. He brings a real-world perspective to government—one rooted in problem-solving, accountability, and getting results, not political theater.
Michael is a strong supporter of public safety, mental health resources, and policies that prioritize Pennsylvania workers and families. He believes access to quality healthcare is a fundamental need and has made restoring healthcare services in Delaware County a top priority.
Under years of Democratic control at the county level, Delaware County’s healthcare system continued to deteriorate, culminating in the loss of critical hospital services that residents relied upon for generations. The collapse of the Crozer Health system has left residents facing longer travel times for emergency care, increased strain on neighboring hospitals, and uncertainty about the future of healthcare in our region.
Michael believes the people of Delaware County deserve answers, accountability, and a serious plan to restore access to quality healthcare. As State Representative, he will fight for long-term healthcare solutions, including bringing a full-service, trauma-capable hospital back to Delaware County, restoring critical healthcare services, and ensuring residents have reliable access to the emergency and specialty care they need. He believes healthcare infrastructure is a public necessity and that government leaders have a responsibility to protect these essential services before a crisis occurs.
Michael is also a strong advocate for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum. He believes every person deserves access to quality services, educational opportunities, employment support, community inclusion, and the resources necessary to live a fulfilling and independent life. He is committed to protecting and strengthening programs that support individuals with disabilities and the families who care for them.
Michael believes that strong communities are built through opportunity and connection. He supports expanding programs and services for senior citizens, ensuring older adults have access to recreation, social engagement, transportation, and resources that allow them to age with dignity. He is also an advocate for adult recreation programs, community sports, and activities that promote physical health, mental well-being, and stronger neighborhoods.
He believes in securing our communities, enforcing the rule of law, protecting local control, and growing our economy through job creation and responsible energy independence. He is committed to supporting skilled trades, strengthening workforce development, and creating opportunities that keep Pennsylvania families working and thriving.
As State Representative, Michael Bannon Jr. is committed to being accessible, honest, and unapologetically focused on the people—not special interests or party insiders. His campaign is about bringing government back to the basics: serving the public, respecting the law, and building a stronger future for Pennsylvania.
